Sri Radha RamanTemple History
Over 500 years ago, the Sri Radha Raman temple was established. The founder of this temple, Gopala Bhatta Gosvami, arrived in Vrindavana when he was thirty years old. Gopala Bhatta is bathed in the renowned Kali Gandaki River of Nepal. To his surprise, after dipping his water pot in the river, a great number of Shaligrama Shilas entered it.
In the late afternoon, Gopala Bhatta put the shilas to sleep and covered them with a wicker basket. Late in the day, Gopala Bhatta took a brief nap. Early in the morning, he went to take a bath in the Yamuna River. He revealed the Shaligramas to conduct puja after taking a bath, and among them was a Krishna Deity playing the flute. There were only eleven shilas and a Deity left.

My Experience
It was wonderful visiting Radha Raman Temple. My darshan went quite well. What I had heard was that out of the 12 shilas that Gopala Bhatta Goswami had, 11 remained, and 1 of them turned into Lord Krishna’s deity. I was in awe after hearing the history of the temple. I first came to Mathura, visited the temples around it, and then came to Vrindavan as the traveling becomes easier like that. My best part was the darshan of the Shri Radha Raman Ji (Shri Krishna) beautifully dressed.
